Concrete resurfacing

Helping you learn more about concrete restoration and concrete repair.

How much, per square foot, do you think tearing out an existing concrete slab costs? Take that figure, and compare it against the cost of resurfacing. Deep restorative resurfacing comes at an average of about $5 a square foot. (Though it does vary in both directions, depending on what kind of concrete) For the most part, a resurfacing method, like polymer-modified overlay, are inexpensive, and very effective at making your concrete look new. Cracks and pits can be easily covered and filled in by the overlay, and protected against by the base coat. If, however, you’re looking for a little more then just newer looking concrete, resurfacing can offer that as well. You can use all kids of stains and textures that will greatly improve the aesthetic appeal of your concrete.

Keep in mind, though, that resurfacing works for just that: the surface. Deeper problems, deep fissures running through the slab, gouging, and sinkage will not be solved by resurfacing..
